Denim Muse is a mixed-media figurative textile artwork constructed from recycled denim fabric, machine-sewn and layered with acrylic paint. The piece transforms a familiar, everyday material into a contemplative surface, where seams function as drawn lines and stitches become gestures of mark-making.

The figurative form emerges through variations in denim weight, wear, and tone, creating a subtle topography, while acrylic paint introduces rhythm, contrast, and expressive movement.

By repurposing discarded fabric, Denim Muse explores themes of sustainability, memory, and reinvention. The work honors the labor embedded in both garment-making and art-making, blurring the boundaries between craft and fine art. The denim—once shaped by the body—becomes a muse itself, carrying traces of lived experience while reimagined through texture, color, and form.
